What is Consulting Services

Most Salesforce projects go over budget, over time, or both.

The typical pattern: a large firm sends a project manager and a team of junior consultants who have never seen your business before. They work from a template. Six months later, you have a system that technically works but doesn't reflect how your team actually operates.

Valon runs the project differently. A business consultant and a solution consultant work your engagement from the first meeting to go-live. They stay after launch. Nobody hands off. Nobody brings in someone junior when it gets difficult.

Fixed scope with a clear timeline. Agile delivery so adjustments happen during the project, not as expensive change requests after it's done.

How it works

A project structure built for delivery, not appearances

Four phases, two consultants, one clear path. Discovery first, deployment last. No surprises in between.

01
Discovery and scoping
We map your current process, define what Salesforce needs to do, and agree on a scope that reflects reality. Not wishful thinking, not a template someone else used.
02
Solution design
Architecture, data model, integrations, automation flows. Fully documented and signed off before a single field gets configured. What you approve is what gets built.
03
Build and configuration
Agile sprints. You see the system taking shape as it's being built, not in a single demo three months later. Issues surface during the build, not on go-live day.
04
Testing and go-live
Full user acceptance testing with your team. No surprises at launch. We stay available for 30 days after go-live for anything that needs adjustment.
Why Valon Consulting

What makes our projects different

Senior on every phase
The consultants who lead discovery are the same people who configure the system and run go-live. Nobody hands off to someone cheaper halfway through.
No scope creep surprises
Scope is defined at the start and managed through delivery. Change requests are handled transparently. You won't find unexpected items buried in the final invoice.
Business-first approach
We start with how your team works, not with what Salesforce can theoretically do. The configuration follows the process, not the other way around.
Agile delivery
Sprints, not waterfall. You're involved throughout the build. Problems surface during development, when they're easy to fix, not on go-live day when they're not.
Zero junior handoffs
Nobody learns Salesforce on your project. Every consultant on your engagement has run implementations before and knows the platform properly.

FAQ

Common questions about our consulting work

A freelancer is one person. We are a team of senior consultants with different specialisms. You get continuity even if your main contact is unavailable, and the combined experience of people who have worked across a wide range of implementations.

Most of our clients do. Starting from scratch is the exception. We spend time understanding what is already built before touching anything.

It usually does, at least a little. We flag scope changes as they come up and agree on what that means for timeline and budget before moving forward. No surprises in the final invoice.

Typically one or two for day-to-day delivery, with others available for specialist input. We keep the team small to maintain continuity.
